Natasha asks: I started weight watchers this week, but I got all the books and stuff on ebay so I do not know what the points allowance is because I am not actually going to weight watchers. I know it is to the effect that say if I walk 45 minutes one day I earned 3 points for that week. Can anyone help me out here?
I mean the earned points thing? Where when you do something good you earn extra points….

20 pts a day.
It depends which system you are on and what your current weight is
It depends on your weight everybody get’s different points you have to read the chart
It’s dependent on your starting weight, I believe. it’s more restrictive when you’re at a higher weight.
My old friend was on that for awhile, and I believe it was 25 points a day, but I’m not certain.
Oh, um nevermind, I want to say it depends on the type of exercise, but I don’t know, sorry.
Yes I can..i’m going to weight watchers myself..what points you get depends on what you weigh…click my name and send me a message, and i’ll look it up for you on my chart…that way you don’t have to share your weight with the entire internet.
Try going to
Hopefully you’ll get some more answers from actual weight watcher members who know. I do know you have joined the best diet method out there. It’s so healthy. My mom lost about 45 lbs and has kept it off. Good luck to you and I hope you get better answers than mine. I just wanted to give you a little encouragement. God bless you!
I’m 15, and according to the weight watchers thing i should take 18, depends on your weight and how much you want to lose. My teacher is doing 22 points a day
I have done WW on and off for many years. The point you get depends on your current weight. If you read in the front of the book it will give you a range of points for your weight.
A good web site is weight watchers.com. It has tips and recipies with points and support from online people trying to lose weight.
good luck.
Different bodies require a different amount of points.
This should all be in “WEEK ONE” book.
And when it comes to earning points - different people earn points at different rates.
I would suggest joining WW and going for just a few weeks. They will explain the material to you.
Don’t you know that diets just DO NOT work. excercise, balanced food intake and support from friends and family are all you need. if you are following some sort of club they will just diminish your hard earned-cash, and that is just silly. good luck my friend. and remember, not allmen love stick insects!
As a Lifetime weight watchers. (I lost 55 pounds!) I can testify that this is the one program that does work! It encourages a healthy diet (food intake) and exercise and it’s something you can live with.
Concerning AP (activity points) it’s a formula based upon your weight, the amount of time you workout and the intensity. One of the other posters offered to check her books for you so I think it’s your best choice.
The Points ranges vary depending on if you are doing the Flex/Core program and based upon weight and height. The week 1 and intro books should give you that info.
I’m sorry - I don’t have my books with me to help you. If you can afford it I’d say go to the meetings. I am a single mom and even though the budget was tight it was the best money I ever spent.
Just to clarify for one of the above posters - you get more food the more you weigh. I joined with a freiend who started at above 300 and she had trouble eating all her points every day.
