I’ve been eating Lean Cuisine off and on for years…mostly as lunch. I’ve decided to go on a low calorie diet and my friend highly recommends the Jenny Craig diet which seems expensive and the prepackaged meals seem the same as Lean Cuisine…am I wrong? Is one more expensive than the other or filled with more nutrients? Please advise.

They are probably similar, but Jenny craig provides full diet counsel and is a plan. It provides you with exact calories for the day so there is no way, assuming you only eat jenny craig’s meals and not cheat, that you can go over your calorie limit.

The only difference I see is the price and the way the packaging looks. In my personal opinion they are both rubbish. Next time you are at the supermarket do this. Grab one of their frozen meals and then select a similar healthy frozen meal of a different brand and compare the nutritional values and ingredients. Take note of the ingredients also with the two brands you are asking about. Not the best. The size of the meals are small yet the size of the calories are huge. I would personally invest your money into a few excellent and easy to use healthy meal magazines that have a nutritional breakdown for each meal. Learn about the basics of nutrition such as proteins, carbs and fats, which are best, where to find these nutrients in foods you eat etc. You are going to pay alot of money each week for JC and you’re still going to have to spend extra to get the top up foods. It may save you some time putting a frozen meal in the microwave but the quality is not great and you’ll gain no indpendence for your health and fitness goals because they don’t teach you about good nutrition and exercise. Do yourself the biggest favour and invest in some excellent nutrition and exercise literature and fill your mind up so you know how to fill your tummy up properly and in return fill your health and fitness goals. Best of luck to you and I hope you are successful.
