I know they are low calorie and low fat, but Nutrisystem claims they have this system of food with glycemic index…. does these frozen meals offer the same? I don’t see it anywhere on the box. Thanks.

If you add up eating 3 of those frozen meals a day, it will add up to the same amount for 1 month supply of nutrisystem give or take $25. I just began the program and they claim to have the right carbs in it. When compared to the frozen meals, they are more based on nutrition versus losing weight. I bet the frozen meals wont give you as much gas as this nutrisystem does…my goodness there is so much fiber in these meals, you stay feeling full ans with gas.
I don’t know about Nutrisystem but I do know that they are compatible with Weight Watchers. If you follow the Weight Watchers point based system you will get the same results as Nutrisystem for a cheaper price and without having to choke down those ‘boxed’ meals. I haven’t heard too many good things about their cuisine. Smart Ones frozen dinners also work with weight watchers. I personally love the South Beach Diet which is glycemic index friendly. For South Beach Diet you don’t really have to join their fee-based website; I just bought the book. I don’t really eat the frozen foods but I do follow the diet and it is pretty easy. Also, I frequent a web site called Hungry-Girl.com . Her ideas for food swaps and reviews of foods are terrific. She also puts the Weight Watchers points values in for her recipes. Both sites offer news letters via email for free and have some great ideas in them.
You might consider Weight Watchers. Alot of doctors recommend it as the very best, healthiest diet. You might lose weight slightly slower, but it will STAY off…and you learn how to eat “normal” foods for the rest of your life. If you go on a system that “caters” your meals, you’ll gain the weight back when you go back to regular food …. Best to learn how to cook for yourself FOR LIFE………
