Nothing is worse for you than soda. Id take the green tea any day.

Isnt it like really healthy and suppost to give antioxidants?
    Check this out…

  3. Enola:

Carbonation in beverages depletes calcium from your body. Green tea is much better, but it is even better for you when you don’t have the artificial sweeteners added. Make your own, then you know it is great for you.

It’s way better for you……infact it’s good for you, make your own, the prepared stuff is way to expensive so if youre not made of $, all you have to do is get green tea tea bags……boil em up, a big batch and add lemon and sweetner as you want, it’s yummy!! I just made my first batch and I swear I feel better already……all those antioxidents at work AND my rather critical mom ( I am an adult..older) said that my face looked great……try it what have you got to lose….it’s better to make your own though, cause you know what is in it…..I do use artificial sweetner but it is still much better than soda and I would have to drink 800 glasses a day to get ill effects……cheers!!

It depends on what kind of Green Tea you’re drinking. If it’s the bottled kind with high fructose corn syrup and other additives, then yes, it’s just as bad. BUT if you’re brewing it and not adding a ton of sugar, it’s great for you… has lots of antioxidants and other good stuff! It does have caffeine so limit your intake!

  6. Kasandra:

Its best with just hot water and no sugar…….theres something special about it, I can see why the Japanese built a whole meditation type ceremony around it.

  7. Xiomara:

Green Tea Is very good for you, Sodas are not.
Just read the labels on sodas all the ingredients.
Green tea usually only has green tea, sometimes
honey which both are good for you.
Hope now you realize the difference.

  8. Stephany:

I agree with the others. No carbonation : GOOD
    No Sugar :BETTER
    Antioxidants : AWESOME

Buy the kind that has no sugar… add splenda. Better yet… make your own!!

If you look at the research that’s been done on artificial sweeteners, it’s amazing that they ever got approved for public use. But you’ve already decided to avoid diet sodas, so you probably already know a bit about that. Green tea has vitamin C and antioxidants, but I’m not sure how much of those lovely things are left after commercial processing. I know snapple makes several white tea drinks that are sweetened with fruit juices, but only lightly. They have less sugar than regular soda, no artificial sweetener, and I think they taste pretty good.
