It will work but there is one thing to know about processed / microwaved foods. There is hardly any nutrition in them. They are already processed, and then you microwave it, it loses even more nutrition. Even though you will lose weight, i don’t class them as healthy. I would switch to something a little more fresh, like fruits and vegetables. It’s fine eating them once in a while but i would not live on these dinners.
I started substituting lean cuisine meals and lost 8 pounds in under 2 months. If you increase your water intake and exercise regularly, it will definately help. One thing to keep in mind is the sodium within these meals, do not add salt. And you’ll want to add a salad or some other veggie to most meals to really fill you up. Exercise, drink lots of water, eat plenty fruits and veggies, and be aware of calories and fats and you’ll be fine…Good Luck!
Okay. They work when you do not add in the calories lost elsewhere. What I mean by this is if you give up having pizza at lunch to have a lean cuisine meal, but have a couple of cookies on the side, you’re not helping yourself.
They are in fact high in sodium (most of them) and the nutrient value is greatly depleted by the large amount of processing.
I would definitely watch the sodium level. I would also add in some fresh fruits and vegetables and some whole grain breads and skim or low fat dairy.
Just make sure you’re getting enough calories in your day. If you don’t have enough, your body might hold on to weight. Eating just that for lunch and dinner would not be enough calories.
Fresher is always better but they’re pretty tasty and easy. The American Dietetic Association considers them a “meal replacement.” I think they are meant in moderation but just be careful with them.
If you need any help in diet planning or questions, feel free to email. I can let you know how many calories and grams of protein you should have…(i love working the calculations)
Oh and drink lots of water! (it’s the best diet tip I could ever give)
But yes. they do work.
