You will say that it’s sedentarism and overeating, and you are right, but there are exceptions here too. Incorrect eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle are our biggest enemies, but they become fierce when doubled by a genetic predisposition, some chronic ailment and the hormonal imbalances specific to middle age.

Normally, abdominal exercises alone will not trigger belly fat loss, despite the common belief that crunches and sit-ups will work miracles. On the average, people who thicken their waistline, also have fat deposits on the legs, the arms, the buttocks and around the internal organs. To put it otherwise, belly fat becomes just a form of manifestation for overweight. Now, efficient belly fat loss comes from a holistic approach to overweight, which means that your entire body has to undergo physical changes.

Physical activities support diet

When we say diet, we actually refer to natural eating. If you only eat salads, fruit, wholegrain cereal, skimmed dairy products, fish and chicken, you should not have problems with overweight. Drink plenty of water, fresh fruit juice and tea. It’s a total waste of time and energy to try and follow some crash diets.

Fat will melt away gradually if you eat less calories than you consume. Belly fat loss appears like a normal reaction to physical exercises that target the entire system. Sports like swimming, jogging, aerobics, Pilates or yoga can improve weight and health condition at the same time.

Choose weight loss supplements carefully!

Do not put high hopes in weight loss supplements, because belly fat loss seldom results only from their administration. Many appetite suppressants are intensely promoted, yet, they may be your worst enemies because they eliminate the feeling of hunger and drastically reduce the amount of nutrients you ingest. Eating one meal a day will not help you here!

Belly fat weight loss follows naturally if you manage to balance diet and lifestyle, solve emotional problems and reduce stress. As long as you don’t solve the issues related to these parts of your life, chances are that all the successes you may claim will prove temporary and without solid grounds.
