Belly fat! We all know what it is: it’s stubborn, clingy, and annoying. Like so many ex’s in the world, we just want our stomach flab gone! There are so many diets out there that swear they know how to lose belly fat and that they’ll get rid of it, but nothing really works. Sadly, you can’t get a restraining order on it so you’ll have to find some other way.
Oatmeal is high in fiber and can help stave off your morning cravings. It stays in your stomach longer and then it encourages your body to release the waste products of your food faster (thank you, fiber!). Stay away from the kinds that are loaded down with sugar, though! Try the plain stuff, regular or crunchy (just read the back first) and then add what you like. It’s a meal that’s easy to customize with fruit (dried or fresh).
It’s not something we women like to talk about very much but: how often you go and how quickly after a meal is just as important as what you put into your system. You could be carrying extra pounds around with you just because you don’t go to the bathroom enough. Try to set out some time from each day to “go” effectively. This helps prevent you from feeling the need to rush. Let your body relax.
Eating right and making sure you take care of yourself will doubtlessly help you in the long run but you probably want something that’s going to make you look slimmer now. Improving your posture will help engage the muscles of your stomach. In addition, it will give you a more stretched out appearance, which can help with the distribution of your stomach.
We’ve all seen it: a big girl tries to squeeze herself into a pair of hip jeans and only draws attention to the fact that she doesn’t fit in them. We all whisper behind our hands and wonder “Why doesn’t someone help her?” Well, don’t be that girl… Yeah, we’re talking to you. You might not be able to redo your entire wardrobe but at the very least, dress for your body type. Keep in mind that if you can’t breathe in something you’re wearing then your curves probably can’t either. They’ll want out and that’s not pretty.
Empty calories are the worst thing you can do to yourself while you’re trying to get rid of your stomach. Soft drinks are just that: empty calories. Be wary of juices as well, some of them are more sugar than anything else. You should try to stick with water!
Thoughts of going to the gym, and working out in front of all of those ridiculously buff people, used to make me wake up in a cold sweat. You won’t burn calories quite as quickly but just a thirty minute daily walk can get your metabolism working for you. It’s not the gym but at least you won’t have to be sore! Win-win!
It’s easy to give up hope when you try diet after diet and nothing works for you, and you still can’t seem to figure out how to lose belly fat. Belly fat is a growing problem and it seems like every day there’s a new system to try or a new product to buy in order to help us with fat burning. The fact of the matter is: your body isn’t going to change until your habits do. You can change for the better!
