Running is the best all over fat burner. If you do not like running, have breathing problems or cannot run, you can walk at an incline. For example if you walk on a treadmill at 4 mph at 10 incline for 45 minutes, you have burned 500 calories. Eat mostly fruits, vegetables, and protiens. Try to cut back on sugar or not eat anything full of sugar such as candy, cookies, etc but natural sugars (found in fruit) are fine. Here is a meal plan that will help you lose weight fast and not be too hard to follow:
BREAKFAST
1/2 grapefruit
2 egg whites
slice of whole wheat toast
LUNCH
pear
banana
Fiber One bar
serving size bag of Sunchips(your choice of flavor)
celery with peanut butter
DINNER
breaded and baked fish (any kind you like) or chicken
peas or any kind of vegetable
brown rice
SNACKS
cottage cheese
fruit
vegetables
protien shake (one scoop protien powder, nonfat milk, frozen fruit)
Also make sure you drink enough water. Drink one glass on nonfat skim milk a day or have it in a shake and then drink NOTHING but water. Take your weight and divide it by 2. The convert pounds to ounces. For example, if you weighed 150 lbs then divide by 2 = 75 lbs then convert to ounces - 75 ounces of water a day. Make sure to drink that much water every day.
Good luck
Why don’t you try Weight Watchers. They have a great teen program. You can go to meetings or you can join online. Following the plan paired with exercise will give you fantastic results.
Good Luck
Go to your public library and look through some of the diets they have, get a book that lists the calorie and carbohydrate content of foods, make a list of the lowest of each, try to design your meals around those foods.
Exercise, Run, Run, and Run, and when your tired of Running, Run some more!
Knock off the soda pop and fast food!
At the library there are also a lot of exercise video’s.
Many people get discourage if it doesn’t happen overnight, it takes a lot of patience and perseverance, and time.
Good Luck!
Eat when you’re phyiscally hungry and stop when you’re satisfied. So many people want some kind of system… a 1 size fits all diet… but really it doesnt work. If you go on weight watchers most likely you won’t stay on it 2 years from now, most any diet you wont be on even 8 months from now. Eat when you’re hungry, listen to your body, eat slowly and stop when you’re satisfied. You’ll find yourself probably eating smaller meals more often. It’s really just about knowing your body and listening to it.
Also try to make healthier food choices. Lot’s of vegetables and lean proteins. (Spegetti squash, yellow squash, asperagus, chicken, fish and so on).
Avoid soda and fast food as much as possible (while trying to lose weight this can really hurt your efforts, but once in awhile isnt bad)
Lots of water.
Work out… start with walking a mile a day if you’re not already physically active. Do resistance training (buy some dumbells).
And lastly, make sure that if you go to food for emotional issues that you get to the root of that problem. People don’t gain 50 lbs or 100+ lbs just because they really like food…its usually from either lack of self control and listening to your body or there is a reason why a person is going to food for comfort. So getting counceling or just looking inwardly would probably do you some good to find out the root problem.
There are many ways a person can try to lose weight. Since you are only 14 years old and have quite a bit of weight to lose I would not suggest that you go with advice you get from people who are not specialists and familiar with your individual situation.
My best suggestion is to ask your doctor for a recommended diet and exercise program and perhaps a referral to a nutritionist.
