babypht0524 asked:

I’m a 20 year old female thats 5′7” 160 lbs. All the fat is around my waist(love handles and tummy). I am planning on taking summer courses in my college for june and july and want to lose 30 lbs then. I have hypothyroid so it is difficult to lose weight but I feel like if I don’t lose it now I will just get bigger. I can’t eat red meat and I want to actually feel full when I eat. I signed up for 14 meals a week. Please give me advice on a good meal and exercise plan for me. Thanks!

    I would suggest counting calories. It has worked for me. If you do around 1600 calories a day and exercise then the weight will come off. Here is what has worked for me in the past as far as exercise;

    walking & belly dancing
    yoga& belly dancing
    yoga& pilates

    Do more than one type of exercise. That way your mixing it up and you won’t be as likely to plateau. Good luck!

    Become a vegetarian and visit the athletic center three times a week. Lay off the sweet stuff, go easy on the carbs. Choose whole grains and brown rice, you know, eat smarter, be more active basically.

    i recommend that you drink lots of red guarana coffee.

    it’s a blend of guarana beans from brazil added with arabica coffee and soy bean.

    it has been traditionally used in asia to help reduce weight, stress and increase blood circulation in the body.

    Here is a healthy foods list and a sample meal plan:

    I recommend crossing out broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage from the healthy foods list and the sample meal plan because these vegetables (although good for most people) are goitergens and will actually slow down your thyroid function even further.

    Lift weights or perform power yoga because either of these will slightly increase your lean mass, which will burn extra calories 24 hours per day. This will increase your resting metabolic rate. Also, some cardio helps.

    Use a measuring tape instead of a scale to measure your progress because it is more accurate than the scale.

    Here is a sample workout and some other info:

    Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.
