eatting at subway would be easier and cheaper.

Personally, I dont think so. I think if you are kirstie alley and can afford a trainer and good meals then *maybe*…

but please keep in mind, if you treat it as a diet you will fail. It needs to be a “lifestyle”. You also have to remember that people will always fail if they are not 100% determined to live a better and healthier life rather than having a goal of fitting into a pair of skinny jeans.

    Good luck =)

jenny craig, weight watchers are all the same. Its basically calorie control and portion control. You eat several small ‘meals’ a day. They work, but it shouldnt be treated like a diet, because its how we should all be eating. If we eat 4-5 small portions a day, instead of 3 large meals it helps us lose and maintain weight.

  5. SyrTurtle:

Yes, it does work, if you stick to it. It can get rather expensive very quickly, though. They want you to buy ALL of your meals through them, and for weeks at a time. It also may not be the best diet for you. You really should consult a doctor before starting any weight loss plan.

You can do just as well, and much cheaper, by simply watching what you eat, and performing a regular routine of exercise.

Jenny Craig is quite expensive. It’s alot of money for very small portions of food. You’re better off going grocery shopping and getting healthy foods so then you can eat more. The food has low calories and fat. You’re body needs fat and will hold on to as much as possible so it won’t go into starvation mode. So eat 2,000 calories a day and exercise. Don’t push yourself when you exercise and ask your doctor if you can 1st.

High prices for frozen premade meals? I think it would be a LOT cheaper to buy frozen meals from Walmart. All the nutritional information is on the boxes…. Same idea, right? Weight Watchers brand, Lean Cuisine… I like the cheapy ones, Michelina brand and the alike. $1 or so each. I think the main thing is having a support system. Here is a website to check out…. ….Try the discussion board. Great people… Great support. =)

My sister was on Jenny & tried Nutra system…both “diets ” didn’t work , she didn’t loose anything. Her doctor recomended Isagenix & all of us in our faimly are on that program now. The 30 day program is fair in price, and the diet is very forgiving if you cheat! My sis has done the best with her weight loss, ( i think she’s up to 20 lb lost) she has MS so it’s hard for her to excersise due to her weak legs. But over all this is the best “diet ” we’ve ever tried. check out the web sight below

Programs like Jenny Craig are for the short term. You might lose weight, but unless you plan on buying their food forever, you’ll most likely gain it back.

What makes any program work is the support group. It might be better for you to find a 12-step program in your area that would work for you. There are groups for everything, not just AA. The one thing they all have in common is the slogan “one day at a time”.

I’m sure you’ve herd this a million times b4, but if you change your eating habits and exercise, that would be the best plan to adopt. Add a support group and you’ve made your own Jenny Craig—-one day at a time.

    Good luck!
