Im not an expert on the south beach diet, but drinking green tea with any diet is a good idea. Also Coffee isn’t good for you as well. The caffeine keads to heart disease. Decaff is the way to go. Probably should just stick with the green tea

The caffeine in coffee and the slight fat burning properties of green tea should both help with you diet.
Caffeine is both a mild appetite suppressant and also speeds up your metabolism and keeps more active on few carbs, which will help you burn more cals.
I would drink both, just avoid caffeine after about 3pm, its better in the morning, or it will affect your sleep.
You NEED to get 8 hours atleast a night, every night, it will dramatically improve your weight loss plan.
